I clean the gun every time I use it, old habits die hard, and put 2-3 drops of Lucas Gun Oil (sufficient for military machine guns) on each bearing surface of the ejectors and cycle them 10-12 times. I don't recall ever seeing any instruction to remove the ejectors and lube with lithium. I was told by an SKB specialist the extractors need to be removed and lubed with lithium grease. The cross bolt appears to be sticking as usually just a slight nudge to the locking lever pops it into position and everything is good. Mine has a problem latching closed about 1/2 the time I close the gun. Anybody out there familiar with the SKB / Ithaca model 600 action design? I'm told it's the 'Greener' design with a locking cross bolt across the top of the breech.
